Producing art works is a part of cultural process. All this time, Ullen Sentalu Museum has always presented art works of the past. Yet the museum also provides space for contemporary art. Ulating Blencong Foundation considers that it is very important to build a supporting facility that can be a space for young contemporary artists to express and appreciate their artistry. A gallery called Djagad Akademik Modern Art Gallery has been built for this purpose. The gallery’ missions are to give opportunities to the young academic artists who are fighting for their own identities, and to promote their works. An exquisite of ambiance colonial accent furnishes the European culinary enjoyment, and the scenic Merapi of greenery conjure signalizes “naar boven” nuance.
